Summer: June Through August

Regional Differences

Buffalo, Minneapolis, and Denver rent snow blowers from December through February; Phoenix and Texas never do — there it is misting fans and window AC. The Pacific Northwest gets a wet fall, moss on the roof, and gutters packed full, so pressure washers and pole saws move in October. Timing and Pricing

List two to three weeks ahead of the wave. Give a daily and a weekly rate, stay clearly under the 24-hour price at Home Depot Tool Rental, and say so in the listing. Peaks are short: a snow blower earns over a handful of weekends, so the daily rate has to carry the season, not the year. Off season, drop the price or pause the listing. In the United States the listed price stands; haggling is not customary.

Storing Gear Between Seasons

Run the tank dry or add fuel stabilizer, pull the battery, keep spare shear pins on hand, and sharpen the saw chain. Change the generator oil and run the engine monthly; store the pressure washer above freezing or with pump antifreeze. If the machine will not start on the first snow weekend, the season is lost.
